Stainless Steel pens are made from Stainless Steel and as such are the same lighter colour metal throughout. Although still quite legible this of course means that there isn't as much difference between the colour of the pen and the engraving of the pen as there is with some of the other available pens.  Where possible I usually try to Laser etch Stainless Steel products with a black colour so that the inscription stands out giving a nice contrast between the pen colour and the engraving colour .
